Simple Salisbury Steak with Maxbauer’s Prime Rib Patties

Yields1 Serving

1

Preheat a cast iron or stainless steel skillet on the stove on medium low. Place a tablespoon of oil in the skillet and put two sliced onions and mix. The idea is to cook slow! As the moisture escapes the onions, continue stirring and letting all the onions have an equal chance of beginning to brown. This takes about 40-45 minutes.

2

Take the Prime Rib Patties out of the refrigerator, season with your favorite steak seasoning (Lawry’s Seasoned Salt, Montreal Seasoning, or just salt and pepper), Allow the patties to rest while caramelizing onions. Preheat oven to 350.

3

Place enough cold water in an 8 qt. stock pot to cover potatoes, add one teaspoon of salt. Turn on high bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cover medium low or low. Cook in gently boiling water until tender, about 20-25 minutes for baby Yukon gold potatoes. Drain in colander just before serving.

4

After onions are partially brown and tender, remove onions, turn up heat to medium high and sear one side of the patties. Turn all patties and remove from heat. Place onions on top of patties, pour one jar of brown gravy on top. Place in 350 preheated oven for 30 minutes.

5

Drain potatoes in sink. Place on plate and smash. Salt & Butter make the potatoes creamy and delicious. Serve with Prime Rib Patty, gravy, and onions. Enjoy!
